==**Praise the writting, praise the acting, praise the director, praise edition and everyone on the sound mixing, edition and OST!**==
I could give this a 100 if I could, I'm not exagerating at all, this was a top notch writting and acting, probably my favorite thriller drama of all time. The cast did excellent but Shin Hakyun was out of this world, I've never seen a male actor embodying a character on a kdrama as well as he did here and finally Choi Daehoon is getting the praising he deserved for a long time. The only think I can ask for is a special episode with
Hyeok's backstory, he was the connection between characters on so many scenes and he nailed every one of his lines and they were long af, almost a monologue, but that would never happen so.
Just watch it, this is the best drama of this year and it will be hard to top!

I’m liitle confusing now. After few episodes I don’t know what it’s going on. Ok, that is only my problem but now over two consecutive episodes I feel like I'm being looked at as stupid by the creators. The characters talk too much and I don't understand why doing they that. I think just for nothing. And of course, the episodes are too long too. Too theatrical. Too boring.

So after these feelings I don’t sure that I want to continue. I don’t find any good, really interesting and authentic character. And beside of that the writing is too plastic for me. This would like to be a exciting and dark tv show, but it's just not deep and detailed enough for that. I’m a big crime fan, but I’m telling you it’s not worth your time. So basically I don’t understand the hype…

And one more question to which I don't find any answer… Who should I worry about? We have so many arrogant, idiot and naive character, but that’s all...

It's good but it gets a bit silly and convoluted about halfway through

Both the scriptwriter's and the director's efforts make for a very good, compassionate reading on a "small town murder mystery". The plot starts out somewhat chaotically for the viewer, but flourishes beautifully into its humanistic themes. There is no "murder/gore porn" that some thrillers fall into, or glorifying the killer as some sort of genius.
The lead actors' interaction is top notch and it benefits the show greatly that they are comfortable playing off each other. The rest of the cast is very good as well, almost without exception.
This k-drama is not quite on the level of _Stranger (Secret Forest)_ to me, because S/SF has exceptional super polished production values, but I feel that if you enjoyed S/SF, you might enjoy _Beyond Evil_ and vice versa.
