I am writing this after watching a third of the show and althought it only has a dozen episodes I am not certain I finish this. And since it is a cancelled show anyway, why bother ? There really isn't that much incentive to go the distance.
More often than not a TV show show made of a movie is not that great. It is a way to earn money from the same idea. Blade isn't awful, it isn't in the realm of unwatchable, but it is also not a must see. It feels naive, the FX is bad and there are so many plot holes and logical errors that you wonder how this got past studio execs. On the other hand, everything looked small budget and that starts and stops with the cast. As hard as Sticky Fingaz (what a stupid name to give one self) tries to be Wesley Snipes, he's not ! He is not a good actor by any standard. The rest of the cast wasn't that memorable either. To be honest, if this would have been from 1986 I could have lived with that. It would have been more on the level. But for 2006 ? There are many better shows running.
