> Bossam your heart or might not !!

As always with Saeguks the first half is brilliant. High production value and great performance by Jung Il-woo as Ba-woo (Big Rock) , Yu-ri as Soo-Kyung (princess Ill Hwa) and Cha Dol (Little Stone) . You will mesmerized by the amount of brilliance these three characters and few other supporting characters emit as they escape the hardships they face after an unexpected bossam that has gone wrong from the beginning; although we constantly frustrated by a possessive
immoral selfish and incest by Dae-Yeob
.

As the story comes midway
when Ba-woo reclaims his status as noble and Princess is dead in the eyes of everyone
we see the writes have changed and no longer show any brilliance in the plot. Suddenly Soo-Kyung becomes a weak damsel ; Cha Dol is always missing action frankly missed his deduction skills and maturity to clear misundestanding quickly and acts as peacemaker for his parents. The story becomes repetitive with Lee II Cheom hell bent on killing the King , Princess and Ba-woo.

Surely I lost interest in the show despite falling in love with intially ; so my bossamed heart is back home and suffering through the rest of the show .

Overall its a saeguk that is inline with expectation of 2021 but slowly we see old tropes coming back and show being repetitive. Despite losing its pace in the end it a good watch as unlike most saeguks it doesnt have a bittersweet or bad ending.

Good enough but misses the mark and fails to maintain its momentum with the 2nd half being a significant downgrade to what we were presented earlier. By then, it seems even the cast got smaller including the extras in the background. There weren't as many people in towns or the palace anymore. The ML's kid was barely seen too. Possible budget cuts? The lengthy 20 episodes didn't help its case either. Even if we were to tolerate the downgrade, it's impossible for this drama to leave us with a good impression when every single scene of the last episode was laughably and shamelessly bad. Having two writers might explain why the drama ended up like that.
