WAI, who is locked up inside his bedroom, urges his parents to release him by threatening to kill himself. The Emperor and Lady WAI are enjoying tea in the royal garden when YEUNG is about to be executed. Suddenly a hitman shows up and tries to attack Lady WAI. Having heard what the hitman said, the Emperor comes to believe that YEUNG is innocent, and immediately sends a eunuch to stop the execution.
