This show is OK. A lot of likable characters and some funny scenes. I hope Netflix can take this series to the next level.

Has some brief humor here and there -- especially in the first 2 episodes. Other times it falls flat and occasionally annoying. Some plot elements contrived, especially the final episode. Not completely awful, but if I knew of a season 2 — it wouldn’t be a watchlist-marking event… ;-)

Raw, funny, and intensely personal. Everything a comedy should be. This show is full of Oh-My-God-Did-They-Really-Just-Do-That moments, but never values absurdity and humor over character development. I absolutely loved the monologue at the end of the second season finale. Summed up everything this show is about succinctly and reflectively. It would make a perfect series finale, but I am so glad that Michaela Coel changed her mind, and we will likely be getting a third season sometime in 2019.
