I like this show a lot! It's definitely my third favorite thing in the entire franchise behind the first two movies. I'll say my one of my biggest issues is that I don't think it really maximizes on the 8 hour runtime. We definitely spend more time with the characters than we would in a traditional Chucky joint, and I think the story really benefits from that, but there's a good bit near the middle that I'm like "alright, let's get on with it!".

I also felt like Junior's turn happened way too quickly. I get it, he's traumatized and in a really bad place, but it just happens and it's such a critical plot point that it's hard to look past.

These issues aside, I definitely liked this. The child actors are GREAT (Alyvia Alyn Lind in particular), and I really liked how they utilized all sorts of different aspects of Chucky lore to create this new beast. I've often said to my friends that I don't really like Chucky past the first two movies very much... looks like that's changed!

Very excited for season 2.
