This is a wonderful series.. although not a masterpiece. This is a genre I am addicted to FATE , DESTINY and SALVATION.

This series is among the best of the best. It is one of those rare shows where every episode matters. The plot was never left hanging in order to extend the series. Instead, every single scene was developed in service of the narrative. The transitions from tension-filled scenes to sweeter ones was flawless. It made watching the series easy and enjoyable. The narrative was also organic, with nothing feeling forced or out of place.

The main leads were remarkably two dimensional. They were given as many strengths as weaknesses and every single one made sense. The development of the characters was consistent and coherent. Every action had a lasting consequence, and every instinctive reaction demanded a hefty price.

Yoon Na Moo (male lead, aka Chae Do Jin): His complex character was handled masterfully. Behind that blank face not just Gil Nak Won (female lead, aka Han Jae Yi) we can also see the emotions. The child actors representing them are also wonderfully acted Although there is not much contrast b/w the male leads ; they looked so alike and the poker face too . While GIl Nak Won was cheerful brat ; Han Jae Yi portated the emotions of a victim very well.

Yoon Hui Jae (ML's father): Heon Joon Ho deserves an award for his performance. Every time he stepped into a scene, he dominated and filled it with almost palpable tension. He cast a terrifying shadow over every character, continually reminding you that he was a prowling beast ready to strike.

There are some good support characters and bad ones.
Yoon Hyun Moo (ML's brother) and Chae Ok Hee (ML's adoptive mother) and the emotions behind their pain and the transformation was good to watch .

Whats lacking in the show is the horror factor ; the way the psycopaths attack the victims did seem looks like from a B-Grade Hollywood movie ; so predictable.

The music has also been carefully selected, used to amplify a feeling rather than distract. The ambient sounds help enhance the atmosphere, drawing you into the scene and forcing you to live it alongside the character.

I came across this show when I was about to sleep at 12pm ;; after watching Rugal (for 8 espisodes .. it has horrible ) ;; and got hooked into it and couldn't sleep despite having to work next day (although WFH due to lockdown). The first 10 epsiodes the plot was very interesting and then it gets a bit predictive and plays out expected ( which is good since i like no surprises in the ending ).

Most one-season series dont hold much rewatch value but I might recommend this to someone who like a bit of thriller and a psycopath on free run.

**A psychopath's son is not a psycopath. Prejudice created victims **
