So so 3-part series that doesn't really spark at all and has a typical ending... although not so typical finale as they show you the aftermath of the main characters involved. Even the main characters are supposedly friends, but they don't have any type of 'connection' between each other, like they have never actually bonded as friends at any time. It's all very forced.

Everyone in this show gets to choose a logical move/decision (sometimes several times) - or a stupid one, and every one of them go down the stupid route.

Added this, they constantly wandering around going from the basement to the hotel area throughout the movie - even though they all know where the exit of the resort is!!

Giving this a more than generous 4.5 out of 10, but I'd really advise just skipping it entirely.

It dedicates the first two episodes to repetitive sequences of people running through the halls of a hotel, and the third episode to a drama about infidelity and trauma. It doesn't find the tone of a thriller when it needs it, but neither does it find the way to elaborate a story about wrong decisions and the need to rebuild an apathetic life. When it tries to be transcendent it ends up being ridiculous.

A tense, gripping, psychological, terrorist attack crime drama. The motive that the antagonists have is a little flimsy -
even given their backstory regarding their own childhood, why go on an indiscriminate kill-crazy rampage through an entire hotel just because they have a beef with the management (who had recently justifiably fired them) instead of just directly targeting the few employees/managers that had (maybe) treated them badly?
- but this drama is more about the interpersonal dynamics of the protagonists in a very plausible life-and-death scenario.

Keeley Hawes is, as usual, on top form, but there is no bad acting in this, even from the child actors. Definitely worth a watch.

A group of middle class friends from diverse culture’s all with virtuous careers, that nobody will have ever seen together at a holiday resort ever, have to survive a terror attack! The men are all pathetic, blithering idiots or dirty cheats, except the security guy, and the women are all panic stricken wrecks, except Keely and the doctor. By the end I was just hoping the gunmen would kill all of them. Questions that arose from the quite terrible writing are:- Why was there only one small knife in the kitchen and why did the idiots leaving the complex run into the wasteland when there was a village right next door with children playing and all the villagers oblivious to the gunfire and Spanish swat team that were circling the island in a helicopter?
