I think I only watched this all the way through because of Netflix’s insidious editing; only revealing the eliminated contestant at the top of the next episode. The whole show is kind of a blur, because of the format and the sheer size of the cast, you only get glimpses of the dancers- and even then only about 7 are named/speak. The Choreographers are good, although I feel like the winner is very clearly telegraphed throughout the season so there’s very little suspense. A few performances are interesting enough but the lack of variety; nearly every routine is hip-hop/street with some rudimentary voguing; coupled with Aly Love’s fine but hardly groundbreaking hosting makes this show feel more like a reality show broke out in the middle of a Step Up sequel rather than a fully thought out show.
