This show deserved a better chance at life. It’s spectacularly bad, and it’s self-aware enough to understand itself. This show was my intro to Collinwood: I saw this during its original run: my dorm room friends crowded into my room around my little TV, with my original DS-fan mom on speakerphone to join in the experience while she was watching at her home. This is/was pure fun. Ben Cross is sexy. Michael Weiss is sexier. I love Barbara Steele. That kid who plays Daniel is something else entirely! Now that I’ve finally watched all of the original series and the theatrical films, I see the 1991 reboot as a worthy entry into the Collinsverse. Don’t miss this one.
