i think the show's strenght lies in the fact that it is never really ambitious. this indie magical realism works well for this kind of show, because it tell you by its aesthetics what it is (and i'm not sure what that would be heheh). i knew
this was about jason segel, by him for him with him etc,
so the finale was pretty much expected. there are no big surprises here, as they show us. i've been doing therapy for a few months now, and i feel like this is the kind of thing a depressed person going through therapy would create. i think from the beginning it's all very clear, so you keep going forward because you already know what you're expecting. anyway, it's a good show. i like the actors, i like their dynamic, i like the story, i think it's ok when
it stops being a game and changes tone, that's why the finale is not a surprise too
. i also like that it doesn't push too hard on anything, so a trans woman, black people, big companies, they're all just part of life today, so they don't need to be problematized, they don't need to be more than what they are: part of life.

I'm not sure what I was expecting when I first started watching this show, but I believe this wasn't it. I get the self introspection, and growth and all the other stuff it was throwing out there, much of which I have done myself in my own way.

I'm not sure I understand the reasonings behind the making of this show; as in there was a documentary about a similar game that played out in Frisco, if someone was to explain how the show is meant to tie in to that and what this was meant to give the audience, then I'd be grateful.

I gave this a 5, I didn't hate the experience, but I also feel like there was no pay off to this, other that to serve those who made it. No disrespect to Jason, but this was said to be one thing, but what we got was really nothing in the end except to say that its not me, its not you, its we. I mean what the hell is that?

Actually a very intriguing experience. It was a highly needed refreshing escape from the overly told recycled plot line and yet bluntly narrated to you as if you are too dumb to see. Instead Elsewhere creates something of its own. You're suprised after every turn of events and most of all feel considered capable of thought and challenged just like the protagonists in the game. Where you end up even questioning: Is it a game? and immersed in it all you find yourself reflecting and discussing our time and society but without loosing the fun of the game. Too bad that all this build up ended in what felt like a rushed inconcluded ending. I would expact the same courage and wit shown by each character to be reflected on the script writer ability to coclude this grand chase as it derseves. Because of the the build up to a poor ending I have to give it a 3,5 starts otherwise it would've been a full 5. Still a push everyone to watch it because on the most part it is a great story and for sure will inspire the next generation of writers and not only. Maybe some of them will manage to create the ending it deserves.
