Do You Like Brahms?

The magic that is Park Eun-bin! I’ve been following her filmography in reverse chronology and she is a constant amazement. Her acting is flawless, her singing is star worthy and, in this, after 3 months of intense practice, she learned to play violin!? Her dedication to her craft is awe inspiring. The music in this series is beautiful. Kudos to all 4 primary characters who learned to play their roles’ instruments (piano, cello and violin) to bring authenticity to the classical music of the show. The chemistry between the characters Song-ah and Joon-young is intense but I felt the writing and the direction made their electric moments unnecessarily, agonizingly slow. With the existing premise and character arcs, the show would have befitted from more Accelerando and less Poco a Poco. I give the series a 7 (good but hampered by pace) out of 10. [Romantic Drama]
