@benhanchett I would have to agree with this. The first two episodes intrigued me and the start of the third was promising but then it just got silly in my opinion.

The first two episodes were excellent. The third was so frustratingly horrible that I regret watching it at all.
Save yourself a whole lot of trouble and skip the third episode.

What a disappointment.

Episode 1 was fantastic. Episode 2 was still quite good but a bit boring. Episode 3 was an an absolute pile of shit. The Moffat special.

Just watch the first and second episodes and pretend it's a movie with a cliffhanger ending. Skip the last episode. Then it is brilliant.

Started out OK, but ended up quite terrible. An overall score of meh. Sad really. Was looking forward to this show. Not sure what went wrong.

If you are looking for the typical retelling of this well known fable. Don't bother. Otherwise come for a somewhat new view on the legend of Count Dracula.

First two episodes were really enjoyable and brilliant, the third episode was the opposite. Such a shame.

Oh for Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing! There, I've shown my age!!

When I heard Van Helsing was going to be a facety nun I thought I would give it a go. It tried so hard to be different from the usual Dracula films by including humour in it that it just became a rather poor spoof.
Episode One was interesting as we were getting to know the characters. Episode Two was just nonsense, and Episode Three made me cry with boredom and frustration.

4.30 hours of my life that I will never get back.

First 2 episodes were so good, the third one fucking sucked and let the whole story down. The ending was incredibly disappointing as well.

An excellent mini-series from the makers of "Sherlock". The first two episodes are well told, exciting and in no way lengthy. At the end of the second episode there is a phenomenal "cliffhanger", which from my point of view was not continued well in the third and last episode. You can tell that the creators have run out of the great ideas of the first two episodes and so unfortunately no worthy end was found for the finale. But by and large a small masterpiece, it was great fun to watch the three episodes in one go.

We're all disappointed by the 3rd episode but I'm still thankful Dolly Wells got a lead role and absolutely crushed it

Dracula is a bizarre BBC miniseries that re-envisions Bram Stoker’s literary classic. The story follows the vampire prince Dracula as he uses an attorney named Jonathan Harker to rejuvenate himself and trek to England to start a new life. The writers make several major changes to the original story (such as recasting Van Helsing as nun) but include most of the main characters and plot points in some way. The acting is serviceable, though unmemorable; not really distinguishing itself in the myriad of television and film incarnations of Stoker’s tale. Also, the tone seems to be mainly focused on the gore aspect, and not so much on the terror and adventure. A mediocre horror series, Dracula delivers some thrillers but is wholly forgettable.

I enjoyed the first episode a lot. The second episode got me thinking what the heck was going on, but it was still good. The third episode was pure trash.

Maybe the real Dracula is the friends we made along the way.

For a show that started off so promising but got so terrible as it went along. Thanks Steven Moffat.

However, I got to say that the actor who played Dracula, Claes Bang, did a great job, even though his Dracula is basically Benedict Cumberbatch 'Sherlock'.

High budget BBC mini series. so expect to be disappointed.

Boring, poor effects, rubbery props, stage show make-up (a dead ghoul looks fatter than he was when alive)

most of Dolly Wells' lines are like they were taken from a carry on movie.

A sarcastic posthumanist Dracula won't be to everyone's taste, but I thoroughly enjoyed this unique take on the Count

Running a hefty 270 minutes (divided into three episodes of 90 minutes each), the series seeks to capture the tone of the original novel, if not necessarily the plot, whilst also attempting to rescue vampires from the angst-ridden millennial post-Twilight position in which they find themselves. Extremely funny in places, extremely disturbing in others, this is probably the best small screen adaptation since Philip Saville's superb Count Dracula (1979). There are some problems, and fans of the novel have taken especial (and not entirely unjustified) umbrage with the unexpected narrative shift in the last episode, but all in all, helped in no small part by an immense central performance, I thoroughly enjoyed this version.
