Dragons, the rulers of the sky. To many people on the surface, they are a dire threat, but at the same time, a valuable source of medicine, oil, and food. There are those who hunt the dragons. They travel the skies in dragon-hunting airships. This is the story of one of those ships, the “Quin Zaza,” and its crew.

As a reader of the manga I've really enjoyed this light-hearted story about an alternate world where instead of hunting whales they hunt dragons. Personally the anime captures the same tone and atmosphere of the source material perfectly with a really complimentary OST that really pulls you into the scenes. I also really loved the watercolour style and diverse colour palette used on the clouds. Personally I think this has gone under the radar and probably still will due to how it was in the annoying Netflix jail.

Stupid anime glorifying the ugly business of whaling, hiding in the guise of dragon hunting. I started watching in spite of the whale killing theme because I was hoping there would be a major plot progression wherein they’ll start saving whales -errr- dragons instead of unnecessarily killing them. More
