I just watched the opening credits and HOLY CRAP! This seriously looks very interesting!

Not only because its based on one of my favorite childhood tv shows, but also because at the same time its not a complete 1-on-1 copy of the tv show from the late 80ties. The characters seem much more refined.

For example in the original Huey, Dewey, and Louie were 3 exact copies of each other, with acting in the same way, often all talking in choir saying the same things, and wearing the same outfits. But if you look closely to the opening credits you can see that they all 3 have very distinct expressions and actions to different situations.

I also liked the many references to the old comic books, like for example the flying ship in the sky https://www.youtu.be/YKSU82afy1w?t=27s , which is in fact a famous story and painting made by Carl Barks (who is responsible for pretty much inventing every character in the Duck-universe) called the Flying Dutchmen www.i.imgur.com/aCiKP8q.jpg.

I love the attention of detail the opening credits have and how much information they managed to get into that 1 minute and 12 seconds. I will definitely be looking out for this one, and i can already recommend this show to anyone young and old.

Disney is an evil, soulless media conglomerate that is doing active harm to art, and more importantly people, with every day of its existence under the guise of being a magical wonderland of limitless adventure, magic, and family.

The most incredible thing about Ducktales is that it is the one thing that, somehow, manages to be that limitless adventure when by all rights it should be crushed by greed and IP. This is not to knock against individual shows like Owl House that are art in their own right, but Ducktales uses several of Disney's most iconic characters, harnesses nostalgia, and does it _right_. Not to make money, but to have _fun_. Heart bleeds in every frame, in every line, and I can't imagine a more definitive version of these characters than this. It's a snapshot of that feeling we all had when we believed Disney was what it claimed to be, and like that snapshot it can't last forever. But unlike it, it's _true_. With the constraints of character restrictions, IPs, money, and general corporate chains, the cast and crew made something _real_. I'll miss this show, but I know it's an adventure I'll happily go on again and again.
