It was fine till that stupid ending where it got all screwed up, which made it pointless in watching. So eventually, he still loves that girl who violently murders his sis and dad in front of his very own eyes and doesn't hesitate to live under the same roof again, also he doesn't even remember all that from his childhood? Dafuq?! I thought there would be a pretty damn good explanation for that but seriously? Amnesia? My ass!. In his leisure time (we barely see him do anything productive anyways) started an Orphanage (girls only lol) with unlimited funds supplied by source unknown, for all the poor girls living on the street which was quite ridiculous at the beginning parts of the anime. Characters are also bad except for Lucy, take Yuka for example, you'd just wish that she'd die first!

The only good thing about this anime is the violence and the harsh reality we live in. Dunno what the hype is all about this one, I bet its only cuz of the nudity and ecchi content which seems to be the only reason satisfactory for all the lolicons out there.

@sunny_senpai Spoken like someone who has no clue what they are talking about. When a human mind goes through extreme trauma that it feels is too much for that human to handle the mind will often lock the memories of that trauma away to protect the human (do more research on human psychology before you say something is not believable but it is called dissociative amnesia). So yes it is 100% possible/plausible that he lost the memories of that trauma and he does still remember a few things from living there as a kid. Furthermore, during the show, there are a few times where it looks like his brain almost breaks through to the memory only to block it out again forgetting right after (also something that would happen with dissociative amnesia). As far as still being willing to stay with her after he figures everything out that is difficult to believe but he explains it all in the show when he tells her he has not forgiven her and he does not know if he ever will but because he does not want her to kill anyone he was willing to let her stay. The fact that she has split personalities is something that I believe played a role here since he loves the innocent personality (nyuu) and wants to make sure the other personality does not kill anyone else. The orphanage was not shown till half way through the anime (not near the beginning and it did not start there) but it had boys and girls (see the sad puppy scene and notice Tomoo is a boy). It was far from unlimited funds (something you see clearly by the fact that they are forced to share their food with the puppy and the fact the kids were not in the nicest/best clothes (not to mention nothing shown in the orphanage is super expensive). So, no clue where you got that unless you thought the facility at the start was an orphanage which it clearly was not. I dono what kinds of orphanages you have over there but there are no armed guards with machine guns in tactical armor at any orphanage around here and that is not even mentioning the other things that make it clear it is not an orphanage (would take forever to list em all). Perhaps you failed to pay attention to the anime unless there was nudity or violence on the screen which would be a failure on your part not the anime but regardless almost nothing you said made sense at all.
