Like someone said somewhere; "right concept.wrong network". The premise is nice, the pilot was nice, but right now the show if filled with useless and boring sub-plots and empty characters doing "I have seen this stuff 20 times on tv" moments. Grant Wilson is the only one who doesn't annoy me in this show.

I will see the season finale for the main plot and just that. the rest it´s like i´m watching Disney channel.

Carter, une de mes séries préférée.
On y suit justement Carter, une ado qui découvre basiquement que sa vie est un mensonge et qui va devoir s'adapter à une nouvelle famille qu'elle ne connaît pas.
Tout y est très, très réel. C'est une des rares séries où les adolescents semblent vraiment être adolescents, présentent des problèmes d'adolescents et évoluent tous grandement au cours des épisodes.
Énormément de profils sont présentés si bien qu'il est impossible de ne pas s'identifier totalement à au moins un des personnages. Les sentiments sont très complexes et brillamment mis en scène et la trame aussi n'est pas en reste.
Dommage que la série ne puisse pas avoir de conclusion, en tout cas, la matière présente suffit largement à se plonger dans une très bonne histoire, portée par de très bons personnages.
L'OST, à coups de MisterWives, est très bonne elle aussi.

This show can be summed up in one word... Addicting!

My first impression of the show was as follows -

> This episode pissed me off, the legalities are completely off. Ignoring the fact she was kidnapped, she's treat like an animal. She's illegally held against her will and she's also forced to meet her birth parents without her consent by the authorities. It's completely wrong.

Imagine if that was you, your entire childhood was a lie and your thrust into that, it's enough to make anyone crazy.... all she'll want to do is go back to her friends and work back slowly. UGGHGHHH.

Otherwise the acting is pretty average but the story is just too... run of the mill? Definitely an MTV production. As others have said the premise is fantastic and a talented writer could take this story so far, I wish it was another network backing this production.

The main character (Carter) reminded me of Hank Azaria throughout the show and I couldn't resist but laugh at wrong times.

Season 2 has two more episodes

hopefully this show will be better than the awful US-adaption of Skins where we know the wonderful actor Kat Prescott from :)
