Terrible show with unlikable characters. Stupid plot, atrocious writing with even worse acting. The plot holes are deeper than the Challenger Deep.

And don’t make me talk about the cinematography, editing and sets.

Harlan Coben adapted on British TV is something I will avoid from now on. The plot is overly complex to look smart and oh so mysterious when in fact it is full of plot holes, characters acting beyond common sense, etc. Acting is so so, this is overlong......Try the first episode at your own risk, but if you don;t like it that much, don;t waste any more time like we did. Definitely not worth it

A really bad show. They have fooled me alright. Subpar plot with worse actors. Main actress has one expression she uses the entire time. So many subplots were introduced and were never resolved. Acting was really bad from almost everyone involved. The last episode I couldn't even finish. I wanted to write a very long review, picking apart every aspect of this show, but it really isn't worth my time. I would skip this one people and try and find something else to watch.

Decent series, better than recent Harlan Corben stuff. The acting was alright, nothing Oscar worthy.
The music was decent, but the pacing, not so much. Each episode felt really dragged until the very last scene. Each cliff hanger was better than the last it was so satisfying, especially that last episode and finally, the plot. I thought they introduced too many characters at once, all having major roles, this complicated what didn't need to be complicated.

It used to be if I saw Harlan Coben attached to any show I'd watch it and love it. Now it seems there's more bad than good shows and something I will avoid from now on.
Managed to sit through the first episode and it was so dull and devoid of any interesting characters that I really regretted it.

What's with all the 1" thick make up on the women in this series? It was so plastered on it became distracting. Michelle Keegan is bit of alright though...

Seems I'm not the only one, because fellow Trakters also concur. Skipping the rest of this based on them sitting through the entire season.

3/10

7/10 good

Probably should be 8/10 but I just can’t give it….
A good cast that give good performances….

The main story is interesting and they give you just the real get amount of mystery and intrigue to bring you back for each episode.
The only thing against it for me is there’s so many side stories that it ends up over complicating the whole show and sometimes difficult to keep track of the main story, but that aside, it’s still a good watch and we’ll worth a watch….

A tense watch, that works it's way in to many unsolved past and present deaths and dilemmas.
Well worth a watch. :thumbsup_tone1:

You don't let the lead character search for her husband's killer for six episodes, only to let her confess the murder herself in the seventh. That's just bad writing. Very disappointing.

For those who have hyped this show......they weren't watching the same as anybody else. The script is poor, the plot reductive, the cast either bored or in over their heads. Joanna Lumly could have phoned it in, Michelle's role could have been played by almost anybody and been at least as good. Fool me once, but not a second time

Unoriginal storytelling and lacked cohesion— Netflix’s curation has peaked. And, boring AF! That budget could have gone to other great series; like Behind Her Eyes. It was ~6+ hours of background noise, except the first episode.

Why do they need to repeatedly show the same flashbacks over and over again is beyond my understanding.
They show this very irrelevant scene of a character getting pepper sprayed well over 7-8 times, literally every time a character talks about it.

Fool Me Once - :heart:x7

I've been enjoying the Harlan Coben shows.
This was a pretty decent murder/mystery/thriller. It does a good job keeping you interested from episode to episode. And the ending was not your typical - everything-works-out-great-in-the-end ending.

How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
