i actually liked this series altho it's sexist and ableist af and there was a scene where they bash the only gay character who is made straight when he died (what even??), but the atmosphere is awesome playing by night accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack and introducing different types of ppl. i prefer season 2 over season 1, it's less sexist and focuses more on character development building a consistent plot. wonderful ending theme btw. :3

I tried this in 2011, watched the first episode and gave it up. When I tried it again, I could get over the kinda gratuitous nudity and violence (gratuitous for people that like naked women, ugh) and appreciate the plot. To be honest, the anime is no where near as good as the manga, and the ending is way different too. I gave up the anime halfway and switched to reading the manga. I was not disappointed.

Zampy, go back to watching your loli anime and leave these works of arts for us. This show is beyond any anime I've ever seen. It encapsulates a realistic atmosphere, alongside a multitude of metaphors and hidden meanings behind each of the characters actions. I would put this in my top 5 anime.

The idea is interesting, but honestly there are many better anime of any kind.
