This is a very frustrating show, because it should be so much better.

Adam Scott and Craig Robinson have proven themselves. Same goes for episodes written by Sean Clements (Hollywood Handbook, Workaholics), Ryan Ridley (Rick & Morty, Community), and some directing credits to Rob Schrab (Park & Rec, Childrens Hospital, Community), the guy has an emmy FFS. These are all hillarious people, and I want to like this show so much, but it just doesn't click for me.

I think it struggles to have an effective story arc in a 22 minute episode, where it needs to set up a story, build tension, and have resolution. It knows it's a comedy, so building tension is almost impossible, and when you can't build up that bubble very high, the 'pop' isn't very satisfying.

The best moment so far was when
Max (Adam Scott) met his wife and she knocked him out and ran away. It at least set up a bit of the mythology of the show, ended an episode on a down-note and gave some tension to build off
I'll keep watching this show as long as these great people are involved, but it's so frustrating seeing this potential go to waste.
