This was basically a post-apocalyptic Slife of Life with a little bit of seriousness. Most of the things didn't get any closure even in the end.
Most appealing part of this anime was the simple animation and the heavy OST. Adventure part was boring since most of the scenes looked the same. Even the end was like "WHAT THE HELL?".
This anime was definitely a bit too overrated. Overall it was enjoyable in a decent amount.

Emotionally and visually appealing, this show is a great example of how to do a post-apocalyptic tale with children. It brings the charm from another anime that has not long since aired, 'Made In Abyss'. Having an atmosphere of everlasting chaos, it manages to lighten the mood with the innocent discovery of the two young characters as they traverse the old broken world around them. It leaves me feeling sad and happy that these two will not experience some things, yet, they are happy with each other and have fun finding new things. But with new discoveries come consequences. Which is where the series really shines. Having a darker side to an already undertoned tragic story. Really making you feel for the girls and wanting to continue with them on their tour of the land of before. From its large scale of landscapes, it still isolates you with the girls in this empty world. Still having myself engrossed in the experience though. Truly a great anime overall that really couldn't be told any other way. Which is what anime should be about.

This was a cute little dystopic story, which was also very sad. (Last episode with the doomsday)

I especially loved the philosophical topics and impacts. The musical impacts between the episodes were great too and suited!

This is the kind of post-apocalyptic slife-of-life you will only ever get in anime format. Despite looking like it would be focused on war-themes it just sets the backdrop as it is more concerned with exploring the mysterious world they live in. While they are plenty of elements I despised it was still an enjoyable ride set to a great OST. It's closer to the original Kino's Journey than the remake this season...

@sp1ti I was wondering if anyone else thought that way! It feels pretty "Kino-like" to me too :)<br /> Just wondering, what elements did you "despise" about the series? I've been absolutely loving it and don't really think I have any complaints about it. I guess the occasional bathing scenes could be seen as unnecessary fanservice but it's pretty mild.
