Keep going. The first few episodes feel like the timing is off just slightly. But by the third episode, they seem to have gotten it right.

Try to push through the meh first season. S02 is amazing and S03 is even better.

Meh... was expecting more. A missed opportunity for Netflix.

Overall lacks any sort of depth to the plot -- characters not engaging. Dull, uneventful and predictable. Homogenized junk.

After a lot of meandering this show really seems to have found its feet in the excellent penultimate and final episodes of season 2. Fonda and Tomlin are always a joy to watch despite the often lacklustre jokes and uneven tone, and Tomlin is surprisingly adept at bringing pathos to the more emotionally resonant material.

Sol and Frankie are, rather ironically, the other characters in this show that feel like they have any chemistry together... except for perhaps Mallory and Coyote as well (also ironic). But even if the relationships/pairings feel a little forced, the humor is there, as well as well placed dramatic moments. And while the characters (read: Frankie) can be a little bit overdramatized in their characteristics, they do at least show character development as well. Definitely a show to binge watch on a lazy weekend.

A nearly perfectly written cosy sitcom about a couple of senior citizens and their children.

Highly recommended for fans of shows like Brothers & Sisters.

I loved!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my g literal goodness, pure sweetness, unrelentless joy. I recommend you watch! I will always recommend. I got sad when I realized I was almost done :/ EVEN SADDER WHEN I ACTUALLY FINISHED AND IT WAS NO LONGER IN MY CONTINUE WATCHING. The ending was good though! The heaven scene holy shit... i literally cried on my break during work. I did not give a single fuck. This show hit me deep into my core. Aligned every single chakra, regulated my nervous system, cured me of all my ailments. I will never forget the impact this show had on me. I'm not even being dramatic... it was THAT good.

A wonderful roller-coaster of emotions. Weirdly relatable for a Gen-Z like me.

Feels dated. The "My houseband is gay" angle might have been all the rage in the 80's, now its just "so what". The "posh bitter WASP vs crazy new age hippie" freenemies relationship is forced and not funny at all. I'd rather watch "Golden Girls" than this.

A beautiful show about the sacredness and beauty of friendship, and one of the few shows I have seen that address ageing the way it does - talking about the fears and realities of it, instead of just ignoring it.

If you like Grace and Frankie you’ll probably also like the Kominsky Method. It’s more of a male perspective in ageing, but likewise about friendship and the tackling of well, being old and getting older.

This is one of my absolute favorite shows, so I was a bit disappointed with season 7 at first, believing it only had 4 episodes. But it turns out it will actually have 16 episodes and they are currently filming the remaining 12, with a release scheduled for next year. Yay!! :)

If you haven't watched it yet, give it a try!
It is a very funny and heartwarming show with interesting and lovable characters and an amazing cast! It always brings me great comfort. :) Definitely worth your time!

Well worth perservering....this is a great series! As other watchers have remarked, it has a bit of a slow start but just gets better as it goes along. Wonderful seeing some viewing for the more mature viewers.
