What an amazing series and regarding the ending ...
Would I have preferred a happy ending with rainbows and a big bow? Probably, because I am sucker for happy endings. But I am not dissatisfied with the ending we got, because I felt it was earned and what the characters needed.

Sunny and Grim Reaper needed a clean slate, to fall in love and live happily together. All her life she was always waiting and her leaving because she couldn’t forgive him would have been pointless. Love is sometimes simply not enough. And he needed to forgive himself and just love her. Not remembering was a blessing.

Eun Tak time on earth was limited, so choosing to sacrifice herself in a heartbeat and overcome her sorrow in another life, to just be him with all her memovies intact, felt right to me. Kim Shin loosing her was heartbreaking. But this time he wasn’t waiting for his bride to end his life, he was waiting for her to live his life. I believe, that in the end he would be able to leave this life behind together with her. Be it at the end of her second life or fourth.
@imzadi I completely agree.
But I think the episodes just before the ending had a little bit more impact and made my heart go BAM, especially episode 14. Amazing series, so happy I watched it.
@imzadi I do agree with you but I have 2 small issues with the ending in the sense that why couldn't she become a grim reaper because TECHNICALLY she didn't have to die and it was her choice to do it (even though it might've been for a different reason than most people commit suicide it was still suicide and that is the sin a person commits to become a reaper). And second wouldn't it have been a pretty great solution for her to become a reaper because that way she can spend an ever-youthful ending the Goblin and not just 4 (now just 3 cause one is used up) lifetimes where she spends the majority as a child or elderly person unable to date him leaving them with only a total of another 90 or so years where she ages and eventually dies.

Sorry not meaning to cause trouble and I've never really posted before like this but you seemed like a rational person who enjoys the show and I love discussing shows with my friends but none of mine are watching or have watched Goblin due to school. :)

@anini Hi, it would have been nice, if she could have become a reaper. But being a reaper is a punishment. First hundred of years of probably torture and than service without memories of yours past and your sins. That wouldn't be something I would wish for her. A full life with family and children is more than a lot people in this life get and I think that's exactly what she wants.

@imzadi It's a punishment yes but you do not necessarily have to lose your memories its just most choose to do so as the reason for them taking their life is usually having lived a sinful life which she wouldn't need as she lived a good life. And yes living a full life with children and happiness sounds great, but the one she loves and cares for most will live out ALL his remaining days after her 4 lives are over by himself.. So her becoming a reaper doesn't have to be a bad thing as her motives for it are pure and to make someone she loves not suffer alone.
