Again weeks before this show aired two people had already gave 1 and 2 *, really wish this would stop.

Anyway it's a decent show about a fallen journalist and the story that can bring her back.
I liked how the first episodes brought us into the story and I do like the characters. If you like crime/drama with some light hearted comedy give this one a try.

Give credit to the make up artist for making a world famous attractive woman look like this. I didn't know Kate Beckinsale was in this untill I saw her cast photo listed here.

The problem with this show is that it puts "comedy" in places you just don't expect it to be and it ends up making the people doing the "funny" things look STUPID!

You really don't know if they are joking or being that dumb. And there is NOTHING "humorous" about this show so you don't know if you should even be laughing.

Ugh... Season 1 ends on a cliffhanger with a LOT of unresolved plot points.

Otherwise, it's a decent enough dramedy. Most people are going to know whether or not they like this after 2-3 episodes.

If you like the premise, you should definitely watch this.

I don't get the "has been done before" argument.
Generic lawyer-shows also have been done to death, I am a fan and will watch every new one coming out though. Same with Zombie Shows, Vampire romance, the list goes on.

It is the "disgraced reporter gets back on her feet by doning a story about..." storyline. If you like that kind of stuff, watch it. It doesn't put any new twists on it, but it is well made and Kate Beckinsale is a good actress.

Not just regarding this show:
For F***s sake! STOP rating shows you haven't and couldn't have watched weeks before the pilot airs!!! You can write comments if you like, but ratings are aggregated and it sucks when a show is down before anyone had a chance to watch it.

I tried. But 1 and 1/2 episodes is more than enough.

The basic plot - a discredited reporter picks up the story of someone who has been wrongly sentenced - has been done to death, but with much better writing and acting. The creators took little pieces from other shows/movies but adding modern internet lingo hoping it would appear topical and different. It just doesn’t work. And a show labeled as a comedy doesn't land any jokes in its first 2 episodes.

Kate Beckinsale’s character is annoying, and the lip fillers and horrible blonde wig are distracting. Most of the other characters are only created to be rep, with no personality outside of being 'woke', they serve no other purpose in the story except to make the creators seem 'woke', no depth, no effort. A good character should feel real, not a cardboard cutout.
