When it comes to rating Harper's Island, you have two problems: the show drags on and [spoiler]the revelation of the killer and his motives are really dumb[/spoiler]. The first half and some characters are really strong and interesting. Honestly, Elaine Cassidy is the weak link to me in this entire show. She's outshined by Katie Cassidy, Cameron Richardson and others. When the show reaches its end, [spoiler]the revelation of the killer is incredible when you watch it for the first time because you do not see it coming and you do not understand how sweet caring Henry could be the murderer. Unfortunately, the motives behind his actions as far back as his teenage days are a huge let down and definitely cheapen the entire death toll that occured. You just want to bitch slap the man for being a whiny baby.[/spoiler]

Anyway, if this is your first time watching and you like a closed set and an on going murder spree, trying to figure out who's doing it and who's going to be next, give this a shot as it is entertaining and it has a lot of fun characters. You might be let down by the ending but the journey getting there will be worth it at least.
