> An interesting concept with thriller + romance/rom-com+tragedy combo but fails to deliver ; due to poor cast (idol actors) and plot.

He is Psychometric has it all
1. A Childhood tragedy
2. Fated Relationships
3. Romance/Comedy
4. Thriller with a Psychopath and Detective(s)

When I started this drama I was expecting some quirky romcom with elements of underlying seriousness. Instead, it was an intense and complex crime drama with a cast that brought their characters and story to life. Every episode makes you want more. It's the perfect binge drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat, wanting to know what's in store for these characters next. **But a minor spoiler can put of the interest in watching the show ; so be careful with all the review out there.**

PLOT
-------

He is Psychometric is a supernatural-mystery-thriller-romcom drama that touched upon human trafficking, alexithymia and the flaws of the justice system. The drama is about a boy (Lee Ahn) who got the power of being able to read memories from people's minds after getting a head injury from a large apartment building arson, and a girl (Yoon Jae In) who's father was framed and sentenced for the arson.

I am not one to watch thriller because I personally can't stand suspense but this was a very mild, perfect for those who can't bear to watch overly suspenseful plots. The story line was quite linear up til 3/4 of the drama where plot twists were introduced.

This drama is litter similar to ; come and hug me ; story line is different but the trauma the characters were faced in their respective drama is slightly same and because of it some became criminal and some become victim having lots of regrets but at the end they just keep on going with the smile face and waiting for the memories to be fade with the time.

I do however, have some reservations or objections. It may feel like this drama is not sure what it wants to be, the first part of this series is mainly romance whilst the second is much more centered around the thriller narrative. This may create a feeling of dissonance in the story and could have been easily avoided if only there was more mixing between the two parts. There is also the problem of pacing - I feel like the narrative is running like crazy in some episodes and then it's slow and lazy in others and I'm not sure if I like it. Finally, there is the amount of long-winded, all-talking scenes which for me could have been shorter or shot in other, more interesting way, but it may be just me and my short span of attention.

CAST
-----
Park Jin Young and Shin Ye Eun have really nice chemistry and both of them have the abilities to show a wide range of emotions without me feeling like some of them are faked. But Jin Young (Idol Actor) was goofy and expressionless in most serious scenes either intentionally or may be becuase of plastic surgery it difficult to see his expressions . He would do well in rom-coms but not in serious thrillers; hence the first half of show is good but when the plot kicks in you can see the difference in the acting skills.

As for Kim Kwon at first I wasn't sure about him, something about his acting method rubbed me the wrong way, but after ending the series I must say he portrayed his character very well.

Although I must admit that the person who stole all the scenes for me was Kim Da Som - my eyes drifted to her every time she was on the screen- she was intelligent ; kind and beautiful .

The little side thing that goes on between Dae Bong and So-Hyun didn't get enough time for me, I thought that was interesting and they only dipped into it occasionally and briefly. It was a good opportunity to expand more on Lee Ahn's best friend and actually put some of the story of him winning So-Hyun over in. It would have added some light moments in between what is otherwise a pretty heavy story. That said, what was in there was good.

OST
----
Music was likeable and background music for most scenes were apt. The suspense music needs something better than a chruch choir.

REWATCH VALUE
---------------------
Overall I really enjoyed the story, thought the actors did generally a great job and definitely glad to have watched it. The nature of it being a mystery however does make it less interesting to watch a second time as all the mystery is now gone though a second viewing would be interesting to see what clues I missed in the first viewing perhaps. I had the big spoiler revealed accidentally in some comments but I managed to forget it to watch it the first time.

OVERALL
----------

Overall, this isn't your romance drama, it is a psychological thriller more so than a romance and I am not disappointed. Each character and the acting of the senior actors (Jeon Mi Seon and Lee Sung Joon) really complimented the rookie actors (Shin Yeeun and Park Jinyoung). I just felt that the plot was too jarring, the first half is a DRAMATIC contrast to the second half of the drama.

Visual effects are quite interesting as Lee Ahn uses his ability and they fade the screen between the various memories he's seeing.
