I must say I'm loving this style of Korean series the originality and quality of production the storyline I'm stunned.
from Squid Game to hellbound the Koreans are adding a different cultural element to the story
if it continues like this I believe they may also change the industry at this rate.
although hellbound lacks CGI improvement I'll say the story makes it forgiving.
But I guess it's good enough because I wasn't too annoyed by the way it was used they knew when to use the CGI and when not to.
However, I love how all the characters are developing and how the story is really progressing.
It's so awesome to see these plot twists, especially in the 6th episode.

ouuu Also, the music

I absolutely love this series! even though some scenes are very gruesome!!

Hellbound is frustratingly shallow and oft aimless in its approach to a story that had potential to be as deep, dark and layered.

I think it suffices to say it's not a good show. Enjoyable enough that I finished all the 6 episodes though.

I don’t get why all the hate… to me this was really entertaining to watch, just as many Korean shows the acting is kinda “weird” sometimes but that comes with the territory, and if you watch this kind of shows dubbed that’s your fault, dubs are for 10yo kids…
First season is not a 10/10, neither was Squid Games, they both have weird plots but i would easily recommend this one if you can enjoy subtitled shows (Or know Korean for all that matters…).

Just like Squid Games or Parasyte (movie), this shows goes deep into human psyche being a dark place and not something easily understandable or explained.
I’ll be anxiously waiting for a second season cuz that cliffhanger at the end was way to much for me xD

TLDR: Season 1 is a 7.5-8 out of 10, would easly recommend.

So bad! Not sure why they were marketing this is as the next Squid Game (not that that one was any better lol) but the trailer looked so much better. It’s frustrating because you know there’s so much potential for it to be good. There’s no build-up (if there was it was very weak), no suspense, nothing! They dragged the
cult plot
for far too long to the point that it gets boring. Nothing at all about the “demons”, not even a crumb of detail to keep us on edge. I understand the first season is set up in a way to make way for the “actual story” in season 2
(cause of the redeeming factor in the season finale episode insinuating a continuation of the story – which I feel like they could have just lead with this in episode 2)
but my point still stands. It sucked.

The story is nonsense and the free violence doesn't add anything. It's no squid game, not even close.

[Netflix] Although it's not one of the best productions of Sang-ho Yeon, it's an interesting fantasy terror show that has more profound approaches than it seems. The definition of sin, the manipulation of people or the falsification of the reality on which religions are based are good ideas that build a story that reflects, finally, on the society we have created. Monsters are human beings, not supernatural beings.

Religion being weaponized, Indo banget ga tuh . This is a relentlessly thrilling dystopian horror show about unearthly creatures feeding off people's souls while a religious group rises and declares that the creatures only chase down sinners. This show manages to deliver familiar themes in a refreshingly original take. It's scary, gruesome, well thought-out, and full of surprises. It's one of the shows where the focus is not necessarily on the monster creatures but rather on the people who turn out to be the true evil. That's the kind of stuff that terrifies me the most. How people using religion to make sense of the world to align with their own religious views, controlling people in the name of fear of God, and how easy those things spread by the power of social media. It has some outstanding performances not only of the central characters but from supporting cast as well. I dig the look of supernatural beasts and there's also a lot of action going on to keep you entertained. It’s truly a show you have to experience for yourself.

Does this worth the hyped? At least not for me, does this still worth watching? Yes!
A mini serie to binge in one day, it doesn't have any standout but it is intriguing enough to keep you watching till the end.

It's quite non-sensical in many aspects, the violence/fights are meaningless most of the time. Maybe there will be more explanation in the following series. I like the pointing to Christian Korean cults like Sinodzi.

Starting to love Koreans productions. They’re unique, made very well, played well and no..zero..null of lgbtqwerty+ agenda….unbelievable!! It seems like it’s still possible to made good movie without those bs.

This series had a good idea behind it and could have been a really good one only if it was done better. Original monsters but poorly written as a whole. The episodes were sporadic and didn’t follow much of a logic or any plan either. There wasn’t much of a plot or direction with the story and regrettably the ending was just as poor as the whole series.

I really enjoyed the overall message delivered and it looks like there is more to come. Read ankur's comment which perfectly explains the show.

The English dub is pretty bad. Much more enjoyable with the original Korean and subtitles.
