FUNG reveals to CHUEN that LING-FUNG is the ex-girlfriend of a gang leader whom he arrested years ago. Since the man’s imprisonment, LING-FUNG has lost her financial support. LING-FUNG hears that a large number of pedigree dogs are going to be delivered to a local dog-breeding farm. Driven by greed, she decides to release the news to a dog-theft ring in exchange for money. Luckily the theft plot has been thwarted by the police. KIN means to provoke a dog stealer during the arrest, causing the guy to stumble and fall to death. KIN tries to hide the truth and makes KWONG a scapegoat. After serious consideration, HO finally decides to reveal the truth to FUNG. FUNG asks KIN for an explanation and the long-time buddies end up falling out with each other.
