Yes, it's a knock-off, but generally a fun waste of time if you don't mind plot-holes and more technical mistakes than any other modern detective show I can think of.... actually there was that one a few years ago that I seemed to have blocked from my memory was too bad to watch with my nephews - ah Scorpion. Their mistakes were more techie, these are just poor script-writing. Despite this, this is more watchable somehow...

I just read the description and I already KNOW it's gonna be a knock-off, Walmart version of Kommissar Rex, the original Austrian show this show is basically recreating.

Bought the first boxed set on a whim and loved it. I now own them all. There's no profanity, nudity or gore, just good wholesome tv. A nice refreshing change.
