Ignoring the Hot Topic fandom and it's wave of LOLSORANDUMB humor that came from GIR, this is actually a damn good series. Really, it's easily one of Nickelodeon's best, making it even more of a shame that it got cancelled (I imagine that the black comedy probably contributed to it, though).

The real talent of this show is the shock level stupid absurdity. Let me explain. Normally, if a comedian wants to shock you with stupidity, first they'll raise your expectations - make you think a character is somewhat intelligent and that you can trust them - but then shock you with the reveal of idiocy. This show says hold my beer to that strategy and instead starts off insanely stupid. Real stupid. This is a dystopian universe where just about every "intelligent" life form is a moron. Sure, there is some poignant social commentary in creating characters like this, but that's a separate in multilayered discussion. What I'm trying to emphasize is that even in this Idiocracy dystopia, they still manage to consistently shock you with how much dumber they can take things. And they do this while still carrying actual plot, character development, and other elements of great storytelling. Ironically, you have to be super smart to come up with a show this stupid.
