"Perhaps you'd like to see Cats with me."

The most deranged peek into humanity I've encountered. Truly one of a kind, and is Chris Morris's masterpiece. Chris managed to convince Channel 4 to broadcast each episode with zero adverts at the time so there'd be no interruptions and honestly I wanna rewatch this by seeing all six segments uninterrupted, all just vignettes that make you question everything. Inspiring. Harmony Korine meets David Lynch meets Monty Python. You can't really review a thing like this. Unbelievable. I purchased the DVD after only seeing the first segment - I've only ever purchased a DVD before seeing it once before and that was Twin Peaks the Return.

Jam made me laugh until I couldn't breathe at a man jumping off a building to his death. This is the holy grail of sketch comedy. But also the most unsettling thing I've watched.

Absolutely loved this mini show and there's quite nothing like it and if there is, it can't surpass this.
While being very disturbing and surreal, it sometimes offers some weirdly enough heartwarming and beautiful scenes (eg: robbery scene) thanks to the great acting and stunning selection of ambient or new age tracks. I admit there were some sketches that were out of date or controversial if you will but at the end of the day, it was a good watch and I absolutely recommend you to check it out if you're into "weird/mysterious art" and ambient genre.

Morris attempts to synthesise a trademark British 'nonsensical' sketch schema with a hyper-modern grotesque, yet neither works individually or in conjunction with one another. Rather than unveiling a turn-of-the-century horror that had been glossed over by Blairite managerialism, it simply acts as yet another means for a British comic writer to suck themselves off.
