I'm certainly late to the party but still in time for the third arc that is starting next month.
The on-going JoJo manga started publishing when I wasn't even born and had an anime adaptation once before in the 90's. JoJo is rather popular in Japan thanks to the fabulous art style and poses the character's strike (which get referenced quite often in other works).
The show is well done style over substance and riddled with shonen antics so you either go with the flow or stay away from it. That said, the members of the Joestar family are actually not that dumb and often win thanks to their wit.
Here is hoping we get to see a lot more arcs in the future!

I went in not expecting to like it that much but I ended up finding it very enjoyable. It's just so over the top it's actually entertaining and the fighting scenes are well done and I enjoyed the art style they went with. I'm also looking forward to the next season! (Stardust Crusaders?!)

@ManiacB From what I heard and the media that exist around JoJo it should be the best arc they have to offer. S1 was two arcs covering 44 and 69 chapters and S2 will be that arc lone with 152 chapters as a source so it might even be 3-cour?<br /> As for the art, they should have used the experimental coloring a bit more often imho.

I can see why some might like or even love this, but the pompous dialogue, arrogant and rude characters, really detract from the overall experience.
Main characters change between season but usually it's the supporting characters that have any personality or humor. The MC usually stands aloof as an icon of superiority. You root for them because they are the good guy not because you like them.
Overall, against popular opinion, this title is average. Good enough as a distraction but not something you will really care about.

Truly, a bizarre experience; it starts with the rather slow Phantom Blood, making the comparatively high-octane jump to Battle Tendency quite the strike to the gonads, and it continues to go uphill from there, including such fun additions as big burly men summoning other big burly men from their own mental strength, a murder mystery centering around
a bloke who looks like David Bowie and (in the dub) is voiced by Albert Wesker off Resident Evil
, and also, an old man keeps screaming "Oh my God", which you will never hear the end of. All is great, until you get to the fifth part, Vento Aureo (Golden Wind). Then it jumps all over the place like a cat with a firework up it's arse. But it's still good for the most part!

Dragonball meets Tom of Finland, haha! This series is such an hilarious over the top ride! Also the animation style and some of the bizarre characters really remind me of Vampire Hunter D, one of the best anime movies ever made! :vampire:

It has amazing characters, bizarreness, and amazing moments. It starts kinda bad (no part skipping) but once you get to episode 10 (Part 2) you will realize how good this show is and why people love it. It also switched things up quite a bit if that is something you are into. Best show ever.
