This starts out very slow and rough. The first 5 episodes are just mostly a waste. A lot of setup with no follow through. Just when you think it's about to go somewhere, the story ends.

Fortunately, the latter half finally tell some good stories. I only watched more to show a friend what I was complaining about, and then every point I had made wasn't really relevant.

Junji Ito manga's strength are how well he builds up anticipation with every page we turn and his usage of panel layout.
When I first read Ito's work I had this kind of "fear" to turn a page because that's when the horror strikes you.

I don't know how well an anime adaptation can transcribe those feelings, but I'm sure interested in looking foreward.
