It misses more often than it hits, but I personally love the off kilter bizarre horror that is Junji Ito. The highlight episodes like Hanging Balloon more than make up for the lulls. It's more weird than creepy, but then often becomes so weird that circles back around to creepy. Love it and highly recommend some of the manga. A great short one to check out is The Enigma of Amigara Fault.

Junji Ito is a legend! But this serie is disappointing...It's just not as creepy as I had hoped for.

Ok - the further along the episodes go, the clearer it is that the stories lean more to the horror genre. The second half is better IMO. That and the second story from episode #4

Felt it was miscategorized as "horror" most of the time.... But it definitely has the Macabre vibe. "Long Hair in the Attic" is definitely along the horror lines, and easily my favorite. It's pretty amazing. I can't get enough of stories like that. It was brilliant!Highly recommend even if you only just see that, though there are plenty of others worth it.
