Well, I was looking for something that was more drama and less comedy and this definitely fit the bill. It has 0 comedy. The protagonist has only one predominant emotion - grim determination. If it weren’t for the fascination look into the Korean Justice system for young offenders and the riveting cases with all their twists and turns, I’m not sure I could have stuck with it. The writing is very good and that’s what leads me to my rating. If the main character could have been written to access more of her emotions, I might have rated it higher but Kim Hye-soo gives an excellent performance in this difficult role. I give this limited series a high 7 (very good writing) out of 10. [Courtroom Drama]

This series has become one of my favorites, without any effort. I have always appreciated the detective, detective and investigative series, but above all series that take place in court. This series amazed me, the best I've seen.

The protagonist, Judge Shim (played by Kim Hye-soo) is simply perfect, she has a very interesting approach to dealing with "young criminals" and gives them the right lesson to grow at their best. The backstories of the various characters are treated very well and manage to make you empathize with each of them, from the protagonists to the tertiary characters.

I highly recommend this series, it is very interesting and is perfect for a marathon.

The middle episodes dragged a bit for me but the first few and last few episodes were SO STRONG.

One thing I want to note is that I really loved the excellent communication featured in this drama. I'm obsessed with how the characters actually _listened_ to other characters when they were speaking, even if they hated each other. Seeing characters with "I am always right" attitudes hearing other opinions and modifying their own views as appropriate was a sublime experience — this behavior is surprisingly rare nowadays, especially on the interwebs. Also shout-out to Judge Shim's eloquence; my gosh, she has a way with words.

I feel like this is a well-made show that addresses a lot of important questions, thus the rating. However, the actual watching often felt like suffering, because it's mentally very difficult to watch children/teens suffer non-stop. I can't rate it badly just on this, but it's kind of graphic with its trauma themes — you've been warned.
