First-year high schooler Midori Asakusa loves anime so much, she insists that "concept is everything" in animation. While she spends her time doodling endless ideas and settings in her sketchbook, she hasn't taken the first step to creating anime, insisting that she can't do it alone. After Asakusa's money-loving best friend Sayaka Kanamori notices her genius and drive – and when it becomes clear that their classmate and charismatic fashion model Tsubame Mizusaki wants to be an animator – the energetic trio start an animation club. Together, the three aim to realize the "ultimate world" that exists in their minds, as they come to see the power that fiction and imagination have on their lives and the world around them.

This is a slow-paced show aimed primarily at animator and animation-lovers. It has amazing animation and a unique style that at times seems a bit far fetched (much like most animations) Personally, I enjoyed watching the three girls build a club based on making animation films and producing several shorts. It explores not only the art design but also the business production preparation and production issues that pop up when creating animations (on a small scale). As an artist myself, I found it very relatable. But like I said before, if you're looking for a fast-pace and action orientated show, this is not it.

I didn‘t like the artstyle and the characters were annoying as hell! Especially that girl with the glasses. It was quite immature and slow. Yeah I know they‘re kids but it‘s still too childish. And there are other slowly anime which did it much better (Yuru Camp). The opening was pretty nice though!

The whole show is a masterpiece. It's cozy, it's beautiful, it fills your heart with hope and friendship. It's just awesome. Talk in great detail about the world of animation, from the art itself to the way to promote your art. Slice of life for sure, so it's not for everyone. But for me it's good enough to watch it again and again.

Positive, from time to time funny, interesting theme (explains/shows a bit how anime are created, constraints, etc...), very precise graphics, sometimes for me very fast sequences (had often to go back a few seconds to be able to read the subtitles and/or watch better a few seconds of some nice anim More
