2 episodes in, it's not great but far from being terrible. What bothers me the most is that it plays like an abridged version, which I guess it's fine for new viewers but it robs the rest of us of some of the magic that the early story brings, their humble beginnings and all that...

**Episode 1** [spoiler]is good overall at presenting characters, creating a few mysteries, but it makes an important ~~mistake~~ change (which, again, it probably won't matter for an abridged run) in that Seiya appears to have a raw gift rather than knights being people who trained hard to master something that in theory anyone could as well. It's a small detail that made all the difference as a kid, as in this world heroes weren't born, they had to earn it, and anyone could become one. That was part of the magic that drew us in early on.[/spoiler]

**Episode 2** [spoiler]is... Oh boy. I knew about the main change with Shun beforehand but mask-less Shina caught me off guard. Again, it's a small detail in the long run, but her story relied heavily on it, so that means that either one of the most intriguing antagonists will have a smaller story or that they'll fundamentally change her motivations. Similarly, Cassius' story would have had an impact on both her and Seiya, so cutting it short means their characters are not as complex as they could have been at this point.[/spoiler]

Finished for the time being. I'm not sure I'll keep watching it. I still hold that it's not terrible but the lack of emotion and soundtrack takes away 90% of what made it great. Saint Seiya Omega had more of these and it still didn't grab me for long.

**Episode 3** [spoiler]was bad, even for an abridged version due to a complete lack of emotion. It was supposed to be one of the defining moments that forges relationships throughout the whole story and here it falls short.[/spoiler]

**Episode 4** [spoiler]was ok-ish for what they were trying to do with the secondary menace. The fight didn't need a lot of detail (like the previous one should have) and since it was always supposed to be one sided.[/spoiler]

**Episode 5**[spoiler]'s only noteworthy appearance was Cassius' new role - which could have been way more interesting had Shina's story been fleshed out previously. Granted, I'm not sure we're supposed to care about him but we should at least have gotten a better glimpse from his POV.[/spoiler]

**Episode 6** [spoiler]is probably the best of these so far but it still lacks most of the emotion it should have carried. Originally this part of the story is supposed to have us rooting for Ikki to a degree, so the changes (no orphanage nor lottery) weight a lot.[/spoiler]
