Jim Jefferies, an edgy, foul-mouthed stand-up comedian from Australia, in his mid-30s and living in LA, is endeavoring to make his life and career more “legit,” only to find it a difficult, uncomfortable uphill struggle every step of the way. Jim is encouraged in his quest by Steve, his neurotic best friend and roommate, a cyber-law library salesman who struggles to stay on his feet in the wake of a divorce, and Steve’s brother Billy, who suffers from advanced staged Muscular Dystrophy and is confined to a wheelchair.

As a fan of Jim Jefferies' stand up, I was anticipating his brand of humor (which is fantastic) and for it to be a simple comedy with easy laughs. I got an abundance of that but also got much more than what I was expecting. The show had a lot of heart and a lot of truly touching moments as well as the employ of some special needs actors without exploiting them or making the laughs feel cheap. Seriously one of the most underrated shows of the past decade and it's a shame that it got canceled way too soon. The unraveling of Steve (which Dan Bakkedahl played brilliantly) was some of the most entertaining and saddest television moments I've witnessed.
