Trully AMAZING show. I saw lots of people saying it was great and doubt it at firts, but decided to try and what a fucking awesome decision! You go through the 10 episodes loving and hating all the characters, they are not bad or good all the time and that's a very good element of the show.
I recomend this for SURE! Won't regret to watch, I'm sure.

Dont waste your time! What a sh*t show!

I thought this was a brilliant ending. First watching the show I thought it was a bit soap opera like and one dimensional, but the characters did flesh out well for the most part. The two main characters were complex and I don't think the writers wanted it to be good v bad because they were both very complex just like in real life I guess. I was sweating from watching this so that is always a good indicator it was good as it only happens when I'm on tenterhooks watching a show or movie (haha), unless I have a medical condition I should check out.

Despite what others say, the story was compelling and realistic. It may have been drawn out and theatre-esque but that’s real life. They gave the characters meaning and edges, they weren’t good nor bad. I despised Reese Witherspoon but found myself at times relating to her solemnly walking through the ghost of her own life, yet I was also so turned off by the way Kerry Washington carried herself, her attitude and outlook on life, but she also had an entire life of lies eating her from the inside out.

I decided to watch this show with the sole knowledge that it is a book, and i'm glad I did. I started watching it with no expectations whatsoever, that got me really enjoying it. I found myself drawn into the characters and the whole plot. The acting was phenomenon.

A fine show that explores the lies, deception, and mistrust that can be sowed between two families coming into a cultural conflict. A neat exploration of race, economic status, and sexuality for various characters. However, can really be held back by some frustrating writing and some "meh" performances at times by the main characters.

[Amazon] An excellent novel turned into a mediocre series. There is a need to simplify things so much that Liz Tigelaar has no problem introducing racial themes when the novel talks about class differences, or turning the protagonist bisexual because she doesn't understand asexuality. It's as if the adaptation of it had been written by Elena's character, everything has to fit into her own glass cage.

This show is terrible... I had to suffer through it cause there was nothing else on and my wife wanted to watch it. She even commented "It's not the worst show we've ever watched" to which I replied "Yeah, but we've never sat through 8 episodes of crap this bad before!"

It's a long drawn-out soap opera that has no point and is a complete waste of 1's and Zero's along with any money invested in this train wreck.

There is no one in the show that is even remotely interesting or even likable. Lexi Underwood is the only one that is not insufferable and you wish would just go away. Either Kerry Washington is a superb actress or she's really just a horrible person - I don't know, but I hated her from the beginning. I give this mess a 1/10

pretentious, unbelievable story points, unlikeable characters who don't do anything remotely rational and none of it is ever questioned. this show was just infuriating.

if you were expecting something great like big little lies, don't bother watching this

It was good show but a bit over dramatic. Also this would’ve worked better as 6 episode format. And the ending was so stupid...OK I take it back. It was an OK show. I hope they don’t make 2nd season.

This show is the kind of series that I hope never has a season two not because it was bad but because it was so perfect as is. My wife wanted to watch it so I was along for the ride but it was instantly luring me in. Both leads are solid actresses playing good characters. The kids were doing believable kid stuff without stooping to obvious manufactured drama that were a series of bad decisions. Instead the story gives difficult situations to navigate without a clear "good guy vs bad guy".

Watching Reese play the entitled white savior was amazing. Seeing how obsessive feud consumed her weakening her already failed family bonds was riveting. Mia was a perfect example of a good person making mistakes and owning up to them but damn she had no problem going on a warpath. Both sides were written well enough to care about and agree with. I could speak about all of the great characters in this drama. Love it

This was, to put it mildly, horrible. We're expected to sympathize with a horrible woman who did horrible things but it's somehow acceptable because she felt underprivileged. This could have been a great nuanced look at the different views and perspectives in parenting but ended up as just another show shoving a political agenda down our throats.

You think there might be something after watching the first two episodes, but ultimately, the plot and character development doesn't come together. Very Meh show; wish I didn't watch it.

Amazing!! Really! One of the best TV Shows I ever watched. Amazing actresses too, that really gave a perfect tone to the story the interpreted.

I don't know if I want a second season, cause this season has a perfect ending alone. It could continue, but the ending was good enough for me.
