Finally Netflix is finally getting the idea of producing adult entertainment without the kid stuff. Just try to scare the crap out of people and they will enjoy it

There was nothing scary about it. I was childish, but entertaining. The story line felt like something from and anime. Kids running around with swords fighting ghost.

Pretty good show. Keeps you interested the whole season and is is not what you typically get of a Netflix series.

Very good quality show, specially for a ghost hunter themed one. It’s been a while since the last time I decided so quickly to start watching a show on Netflix.

Do not waste your time honestly so cringy , bad acting , and no questions answered in the end it’s just set up for a season 2 which Netflix will probably cancel anyways

Finally a show without forcing the Gay Agenda on all the normal people. I hope they keep it that way in season 2.

In a world where ghosts are normal. . . in the setting of the 70's or possibly because of the ghost plague a world that is stuck in the 70's.... this is a pretty decent show. They set the show up for a pretty interesting second season which may or may not come.

Sadly, I'm sure Netflix will probably cancel it like they usually do with good shows.

How I rate:
1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8  = I expect you will like this too
9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!

Often cliche, but equally often fun, this show delivers a solid supernatural narrative. There were times I found the characters lacking, and the dialogue quite bad, every time something was lacking it was balanced later when the writers delivered a particularly good line, or some new tidbit of worldbuilding helped keep the show creative and engaging. This is a show that a lot of younger audiences with less exposure to the genre will really love. Sometimes I think the show isn’t cliche, but rather intentionally overt, not because the writers are weak, but because they’re too direct for my taste.

Also BIG extra points for a distinct lack of romance.

It started ok and the world is interesting, but the protagonists are so stupid. They consistently make terrible decisions and only survive through sheer luck. They ae so incompetent that it is painful.

Good series, good arguments, no forced dropped of inclusive characters stupidly inserted into the plot and becoming more important than the protagonist, very good special effects and parallel stories and that's why Netflix canceled it. Another Netflix shame.

Not a bad series overall. I liked the ghost and psychic aspect. The story kept me going and wanting more. This was really different from the normal Netflix series.

I think it's worth a watch because it finished up introductions and this particular part of the story. There's easily more story for a 2nd season if Netflix decided to actually make one but if that never happens I'm cool without not knowing more if they decide to cancel the searies.

I really hope netflix renews this show because the story is unique and facinating, the characters are lovable and chemistry between them is through the roof.

This started strong and stayed solid throughout. There were some moments where the characters came across a bit annoying and I had a few issues with some minor stylistic choices.

Having seen the show I understand why it has gained so much popularity since its release as it is really enjoyable. Knowing there are no plans to continue the show as of right now I am intrigued to read the novels that this series is based off of. I'm not usually a fan of stories centering around ghosts but I feel that overall these 8 episodes brought so much more to the table than that.

The concept is really interesting. I generally liked the show, but there were a lot of BS moments.
At the beging we saw hunters move as unit and generally help each other. After that in London somewhat trained hunters cannot spot when there is something wrong. They miss abvouis signs of trouble in their colleagues and enviroment. Also they ditch each other at random times on the hunt.
Reminded me of Being Human (UK) in so many wonderful ways. With my lack of focus, it's hard for me to binge-watch anything, but I finished this over 2-3 days. Great Season 1.

I'm just starting S01E04 and I'm hooked. Which is odd since my tolleration of teen dramas is at a low right now. All I can say is the main character cast has been kept small and appropriately focused, and the writing is good. The "monster of the week" stories are good, but the best part is that they seem to be on a track of making those stories well balanced with whatever is - or might be - to come with the main cast story arc. Screwing this bit up is where most teen dramas fall into crap. They make the High School dramas of teeneage angst take the reigns. BIG mistake if they want a larger audience. If this show can manage to keep a balance without going all 90210 on us, they might just end up making a good show for a wide audience. Sure, there is going to be a teen love thing happening, but...let it happen naturally rather than throwing it in our faces day one.

So far, so good.

A show with a great premise and amazing storyline, but unfortunately I felt it fell a bit short of a full season with only 8 episodes. While it was enough to drive the main plot, there were so many smaller side plots that opened through great worldbuilding –
the door in Lockwood's house, what the skull saw, how did people know about ghosts before "the Problem" started, to name a few
.

The action was interesting, with the main weapons being rapiers, and every character seemed well developed. The setting was strange – at first I thought it was set at some point pre-internet, but it seems instead
the world came to a halt with "the Problem"
.

Once again, Netflix has made a show that would be amazing to have a second season – unfortunately, they also seem to be on a trend recently of cancelling shows, so I'm not keeping my hopes up for a season 2...

@aitc-h The novels consist of 5 books. The first season covered the first two. I'm sure we'll get to see what happens next with all this unanswered questions left behind.

I started watching this show, with no knowledge of the books it's based on, pretty late in the evening and I just couldn't stop. I could never imagine myself saying that, because of how much I value inclusivity and woke movement, but it does really feel good to watch a Netflix TV show, with more storyline and less propaganda. There were also some references to Iranian foods and ancient goddesses which felt delightful for me as an Iranian. But I wouldn't consider "Karim" as a common Persian surname. In fact I've never met an Iranian with this surname. It's more used in Arab countries. Enjoy this show and find yourself some Ghormeh Sabzi to eat, if you haven't tried it yet. It's divine.
