Season 1 was enjoyable, up to the last episode. They rushed it entirely too much, suddenly threw all kinds of character twists at us that don’t really make sense and generally feed us nonsense. Deplorable, for up to then it was pretty good.

[spoiler]Just like people who are rotten to the core don’t just suddenly become good because a little nicety has happened to them, neither do people who are good to the deepest atom in their heart suddenly become vengeful and evil because of one trauma or heartbreak. Barely even in fairytales. Neither buying Nor enjoying how this turned out. A let down. Meh.[/spoiler]

If you liked **Salem** it's the next show for you. On the bright side the costumes are top notch, the music is a joy to hear even the vesual effects are simple and nice but if you didn't here for that here's what you get:
- To many gaps between the episodes. It feels like there no coherence and no building up for the next event.
- The plot is too obvious and too clishé.
- First sight love stories are so passé
- The big finale [spoiler] the origin of transsexual women [/spoiler]

My main issue with this show was that it was originally filmed in Italian and dubbed over in English but the voices and the picture didn't match up. Also I feel like they got the completely wrong actors to do the dubbing over.

Another issue I have is the music they selected to use as the soundtrack to this show and to the set the scene. One main instance that springs to mind is in the last episode, 'Light,' two of the main characters are at some kind of medieval gathering where dancing is involved and Somewhere Only We Know was the song playing? To me it didn't fit and I feel like the show runners could have done more research into the type of music they would be played in time period.

I also feel that this show suffered from being too rushed. There are only 6 episodes that average at about 40 minutes each but it feels like there was so much the show was trying to get across but just couldn't with that time constraint.

Interesting drama with great female characters. I look forward to season 2.

This show had potential. Yeah special effects quite lame and not that good actors but if you like witchcraft maybe you'll close one eye and will give it a try. Same with me and now when I've finished the first season... Good lord, please no second season. I've never seen that stupid ending. It was like every creator of this show had some idea and put it together so win for everyone and no one will be sad. Seriously it was awful.

Im not sure if I like this or not?

Let me start by saying this is dubbed in English. The Netflix trailer has subtitles, which maybe off putting.

However, there’s something not quite right with the dubbing, which is perhaps why it spoilt my viewing partly. The actresses and actors voice overs did well, but somehow it’s how it’s laid on to the visuals and it feels wrong.

It seemed well done, acting, costumes, the whole production. But, it was all too predictable. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it on a level.

It’s been left open for a 2nd season and with the unexpected twist at the end, the next season may fill the void of what’s missing from this season.

Again, I’m grateful to Netflix bringing a foreign show to our screens with dubbing, as unfortunately most are put off by subtitles. Some of my favourite shows are foreign, which Id never had have the pleasure of watching without their efforts.

Conclusion; it’s not fantastic, but it’s not awful. It has potential. Only 6, 30min episodes, so it’s worth giving it a shot.
