After watching this, it's hard for me to think anyone could believe there was "evidence beyond reasonable doubt". There were SO many mistakes, questions, contradictions, and procedural misconducts which cast doubts on the State's case.

@itswilder That's what happens when you think this documentary tells the complete truth. I hope Avery rots for the rest of his miserable life. He killed that woman and there is no doubt about it, and that's why he is still in prison. This fakeumentary didn't change a thing.

Brilliant documentary series if very dispiriting in regards to the US justice system.

It is hard to think how things like this can happen in real world...dont know what to think at all. It's definitively the most shocking tv show i've ever seen.

I had that instinct throughout too! He seemed so set on Steven being guilty despite the ridiculous and clear lack of evidence. It seemed strange to me that he wasn't more set on finding the truth about what happened to his sister.

One of the most shocking and poignant documentaries I have ever seen. The Averys' ability to remain hopeful and optimistic despite such extreme miscarriages of justice, is so incredibly admirable. I hope more than anything that something can be done to release these two men. Horrifying.

@emilymcdougall Why would you want them to release people who KILLED SOMEONE?

Do you really believe that the police killed her? Don't be stupid, please.
@emilymcdougall

If you believe ANYONE but Avery killed her then you are completely wrong. You don't know more than the judges and lawyers just because you watched a bias, completely false & misleading documentary.

Why would you hope they release killers? What sort of a person are you?

Netflix are a disgrace for airing this documentary. To make it worse they have removed Louis C.K and Kevin Spacey due to allegations (and rightfully so) but they continue to push this trash documentary that attempts to convince peopke that a rapist and murderer is innocent.

It's despicable.

@gonzohunter What's your beef? hahaha. Do YOU know more than the judges and lawyers then? Did you personally watch him commit the crime? Because from what I saw, there was a complete lack of evidence in this case. You don't know more than I do regarding whether he's guilty or innocent, pipe down.

@emilymcdougall

I know he's in prison for murder because a jury found him 100% guilty beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law. They saw ALL of the evidence, not just the bulls*** this doc decided to lie to you about. I also know this man will NEVER be free and it gives me immense pleasure.

You obviously know nothing about the case other than what this ridiculous LYING documentary told you because there is a MOUNTAIN of evidence against that sick individual. THAT'S WHY HE HASN'T BEEN LET OUT, YOU IGNORANT CRETIN.

I know what the lawyers and judges know. I know he's guilty and that's why he's been in prison 12 years and counting.

I bet you're one of those weird women who write to killers in prison.

Get back to me when he's free. It will never happen. That guy is guilty. There is no doubt about it. That's why he is still right where he belongs. Rotting in jail.

You're a disgrace to your sex. That poor woman was targeted, tortured, raped, killed, chopped up, and burned... and you're defending her killer.

Like I said... What kind of a person are you?

While Steven Avery's case is clearly not 'beyond reasonable doubt', I'm actually more horrified at Brendan's sentencing. Beyond horrific. No words.

This is by far the scariest thing i have ever seen. The system is suppose to protect the innocent and punish the guilty beyond a "REASONABLE DOUBT." Better to set the guilty free than imprison one innocent person. Because of the many mistakes we'll never know now.

All I can say is that the US Justice system is fucked up. The Americans can praise it how much they want, but it is a fucked up system.

The bailing system is designed so that poor people have to plead guilty in order to stay out of prison.

Even if they **DID** do it, **EVERYONE** should be furious at the Wisconsin justice system from top to bottom for miscarrying justice.
