There's a lot that goes on in the show the more you watch it. It can get very chaotic at times, but I think there are a lot of interesting themes and tropes they touch on that it keeps the show interesting. The biggest pain point has been since how since the release of season 1, the episode order has never been very chronological. For some reason, even the episodes on Netflix are out of order so it takes a while to put together the main plot. Some cheesy moments, but there's a lot of wholesome intention in the show with regards to themes of trust, friendship, insecurity (and being able to accept the flaws in yourself and others), making mistakes but recovering from them, comforting your friends when they're down, supporting them through tough times, speaking your thoughts (communication), alter egos, and doing good in the magical girl sense. The 3D animation is cool in some reagards, but sometimes it's also a little freaky looking at their eyes. There's a lot of shounen anime today that have started bleeding into shoujo themes and I think this is an interesting twist where you have a mainly shoujo-esque show that blends minor shounen elements.

Will add more interesting discussions if I find because I'm lazy to write my own thoughts:
