This show has to be WORST thing marvel has ever released.
it feels like an Indian or Pakistani movie or TV show with western stuff rammed into it. it's truly an awful show trying so hard to do something but accomplishes nothing. The racial stereotypes in this show are annoying too not all desi families act like this... it further pushes stereotypes on to it's viewers which causes more racism.

Dude their is nothing from india. It’s all Pakistani show. In fact there are many anti Indian things in this show. It’s more like a jihadi propaganda. And that’s it’s intolerable to watch. It’s also created by a muszlim.

I didnt watch it untill today & after 1 episode i am done.Whats wrong with marvel? You have standards, you add Japan, Russia, Italy those are your standards. Why do we love hollywood because of the perspectives. You know what 90% BANGLADESHI dosent watch their own country movies & shows. How do I know? Cause I AM BANGLADESHI.Teenagers like me from these country we are used to these fucking family dramas & so many fucking things in real life. These things irritated us since we are born. And now what we have to watch in our 30s ? Same fucking story we endured. It really felt like peeling skin with a knife. Fuckkkkkkkkkkkkkk

The last wave of Marvel's tv shows taught us to not judge a book by its ~~cover~~ first episodes.
But as someone under 30, it felt like a zit was going to grew on my face just by watching this.

It's so weird to see Muslims being represented in the media, not negatively. It's so refreshing, and it allows sharing some traditions people don't get to see. Even though I'm not Pakistani, it's very welcoming to see something positive for a change. I'm learning to about south Asian culture at the same time. Great show and something original for once!

Unlike the other Marvel series that have come out, I'm definitely not the target audience of this show. Just like almost every other show that has teenagers as it's audience, so many bits are way overdramatized. That being said, for what it is, it looks good, but that's really hard to judge seeing as I don't actually like it. Hopefully this show doesn't connect to the main universe/story line so I won't feel like I'm missing something as I'm not watching this anymore.

Older than the target audience, but loving the lead and fun animations. It’s light and captures that teen energy well. Excited to see where this will go.

sigh...if it weren't for the fact that this is going to lead into The Marvel's I wouldn't have watched this. CGI was mid, story was God awful, the jokes were cringe, and the Pakistani-Indian backstory was forced. And the thing is, I'm Indian and wanted to be a good representation of the culture but it's not good at all. Action scenes were bad too...and the bad guy plot literally meant nothing. The last episode with the community solidarity was nice but since the whole show was bad the ending piece had no effect for me. sigh. One of the worst MCU additions. I wish good luck for Ms. Marvel and for the actress for the next role.

It’s cool to learn more about the Muslim and Pakistani cultures and see how much care they had for such representation, but it feels like this show is more worried about those aspects than about developing any of its characters or giving us a compelling story.

I'm clearly not the show's target audience as it feels like this one was made with a teenager audience in mind, but I'll give them credit for at least injecting some personality to this show by coming up with interesting use of motion graphics blended in with the live-action footage to show things like text messages, etc.

I am loving this, now 3 episodes in. I remember reading the comics when they first came out and they hit me like a ton of bricks as being so different and fresh then. I grew up with my best friend being from a Sri Lankan family and was very aware of the different cultural elements at play and the comics captured this for me wonderfully with Kamala and Bruno.

Now in episode 3, after initial jarring of the change to the source of powers, I'm getting the same feels from the TV series and it's just beautiful. Kamala's Dad's speech to her brother was just wonderful.

Re: powers - I get it. In the comics Kamala was an Inhuman - the source of her power here is different as Inhumans have a different place in the MCU but I still don't get why the nature of the power had to change. If the bracelet is like a key then the effects seem rather redundant.

Could've been better. Just mid. Also why is her powers way different from what I saw on Avngers Assemble way back? I thought she was Marvel's "Elastigirl" or something... And also I think this show is targeted at kids.

I think the best word I can use is "bland". As others have mentioned the fundamentals of the main characters' development and relationship with each other were far removed from the comics. No one was expecting an Emmy-caliber show but neither were we expecting a contender for a Golden Raspberry. A very poor effort from Marvel.

Now every show or movie is ethnic. Maybe it's appealing for those people but for the rest it's just boring. And this shows is boring.

I question marvel & disneys choice of promoting a culture that is the modern version of Christian crusaders hell bent on killing all other religions. And Paki’s on top of that who would never allow their teenage daughter to hang out with anyone other than other Paki’s until their daughter is old enough to marry one their cousins.

Honestly, they did much better than I expected. It started out terrible but got better through the episode. They didn't do as well as the comics to capture the minutiae of relationships Kamala has with her family. Some character introductions (Nakia) and relationships (Kamala x Bruno) felt super rushed and I am not super enthused about how she gets her powers. Overall though, it looks like they gave it a good whirl and got close. I'd rate this similar to Marvel's The Runaways. Solidly mid-tier show.

I think the end credit scene for the show will be Kamala meeting Carol Danvers or captain Marvel in the end and says they will return :joy::joy:

quite good first episode, its a very "teen" series, but fun and with an absolutely awesome attention to details connecting her mind with the world we see, it reminded me of something like "mitchells vs the machines" with the stop motion youtube video and the overlays on the world. Its not my favorite series from marvel, but i am quite happy and anxious to see the next episodes.

Way better then expected. People will complain about the character race and religion but besides that it is a watchable sign of the new times . But here is a story as well and way better then thrash serie Shehulk (Shehulk judged from trailer)
