I really wanted to like this show. I loved the trailer, liked the premise well enough. And it starts off very well. But... as in most things hollywood these days, the #Woke Agenda just **HAD** to show it's ugly face. The series actually goes out of the way (takes you out of the immersion) to deliver what can only be described as... emotionless agenda drivel. What could have been a great show trips over its own foot with way too many... "announcements". It's meh at best. #OhWell #MovingOn

You know why shows like _**Supernatural**_, _**The Vampire Diaries**_, and even _**The Originals**_ lasted past 1 or 2 seasons? Because they didn't preach morality and attempt to shove an agenda down viewer's throats. They simply told interesting, & compelling stories

@archangell The different social agendas in this show get really exhausting really fast. It's sad how many shows ruin their storylines by focusing on these boring political themes. Not everyone wants to watch propaganda.

The whole high school soap opera is just a big self conscious political message. The start by whining about "White privilege" at a school where the most popular guy is not white yet acts more "privileged" than anyone else - even when his issues are revealed it turns out that he is the main person causing all his own problems. Then there is the colours contrived racial casting, over cooked gay storyline and the all too painful #metoo scene. These issues might have their place in other shows but are pointless distractions in this, the gay story might have been ok if they hadn't spent so much time covering every other social issue under the sun... but ultimately, none of it really furthered the story much so it shouldn't have been there.

Thank you for lgbtqwerty+ propaganda warning. I just started to watching this show but I’ll stop immediately. I’m trying also warn by making comments but this is like tilting at windmills nowadays especially with Netflix production. I’m filtering out automatically those marxists bs but younger viewers are in danger.

Typical Netflix garbage. Starts off with a great premise, then sh*ts the bed. Poorly written. They got so concerned with making left leaning political garbage commentary, they forgot to actually write a good story. Thanks again for nothing, Netflix.

Interesting premise plus very unlikable characters. Hire some adult writers for next season.

Get's better after first few episodes.

IF you like monster fantasy and snappy dialogue then you will probably like this. I like how the kids fight with the parents and you wonder at times who the real monsters are - though the monsters/special effects are B-movie and the horror slight. To be fair, this compares to recent seasons of Supernatural so if ytou are familiar with Sam and Dean then you will feel at home here.

However, if you are uncomfortable watching opinionated dialogue and gay/minority characters then you should avoid this (and probs consider cancelling that Netflix/rw subscription).

@maveric More like if you're uncomfortable watching a show full of stereotypes then this show isn't for you.

@playdoh25 hmm, I see what you mean. Personnaly I found even the minority characters somewhat off the wall and not quite like their counterpart characters in similar shows. But yes, it is true to say that shows like these are run-of-the-mill at the moment. :)

wow, shocked at how boring this show was!!! Monster fighting is few and far between and when there is a fight is the ease of killing the monsters is ridiculous. The twins drama being lames out school didn't make sense and also wasn't interesting.

When in a 10 episode season 5 episodes are the beginning... you're doing sth wrong. Only the luck of having whole season premiere at once kept me watching. Even then, when from "how is it fucking possible that two hot twins who traveled the world, have best grades and are descendants of the richest family in town, are the weirdos and hated losers in the school?!" I went to thinking "this (the history of the twins) is a cool idea", I reached the ending and there was no hope.
The finale has so much potential but the escape from everything has like 2 mins of screen time?! Everything isn't even mentioned. You just see everyone okay at the end.
Seriously, Netflix definitely has money to make at least one or two scenes of twin-magic not only red eyes with veins borrowed from vampires of The Vampire Diaries.

However, i'll probably see the next season, hoping for sth better than again, half 'how the fuck it makes sense' and half wasted potential.

After watching the whole thing I can say, that it was actually quite enjoyable in the end.

Sadly like with so many Netflix shows they started with 5s of enjoyment, followed by 7 Episodes of boredom only to have everything interesting happen in the last Episodes.
This is why I can only give it a 6/10 - man were the first episodes a snoozefest...

The writing is atrocious. Considering this is an adaptation, it shouldn't be that hard to make the story and characters decent. Yet this show completely fails. The story is marginal with shitty pacing and vast sweeping boredom for much of the show. Then we get the two main characters and it is fast paced and interesting. Every character except the two main characters is stupid, predictable, annoying, dull, or some combination. The two main characters have a somewhat interesting backstory and have decent dialogue, yet they get minimal screen time.

This manages to be worse than some other recent Netflix Originals, and that is saying something.

Interesting premise but surprisingly very few monsters for a show about monsters hunters.

The "twist" that not all monster are bad it's pretty overdone and in your face. Still enjoyable but a 6 at most.

The first episode had some promise. Then the show just got dumber and dumber. Don’t waste your time. It’s just one half baked plotpoint after another with ridiculous character motivations.
