I just binge-watched the whole season this evening and I can't imagine a better way to have spent my time. This show is FANTASTIC. It really is a rollercoaster of emotions in the best way possible. It's 100% a feel-good show and covers really, really important issues! It definitely differs from a lot of American sitcoms, it's raw, it's deep, its inclusive and it's very smart. It's a whole ton of fun. One Day at a Time is my biggest obsession right now & the best way to kick-start 2017.

A pleasantly surprising show! Wasn't sure what to make of this when it was recommended to me by Netflix but I am loving it so far. Tackles some important issues from both the past and present, I'm not going to lie there are a few touching moments too that nearly made me cry! The show is a good laugh and has something for everybody. I would recommend it to anyone, brill casting all around. Rita Moreno (plays Lydia) is a goddamn national treasure. Hope Netflix renews this! Would love to see a follow up season.

This show was a nice surprise, since I'm always distrustful of multi camera sitcoms.
Even though the comedy (and performances) follows the rhythm one could expect, some jokes are very funny and there are very touching moments.

Sometimes the show can get a bit too didactic with its morals, but overall it was refreshing to see an old formula bring sensitivity to discussions about sexism, immigration laws, PTSD and sexuality.

As for the actors, Justina Machado shows she can handle a show like this and the kids show some promise but the real star is Rita Moreno. She is a great performer and responsible for all my biggest laughs - and even a few tears.

I love how this show makes me laugh my ass off one minute and the next brings on a serious matter. This is one of the best shows I've ever seen

this show is AMAZING! it's so important to have a show that brings representation to minorities and touches so many issues of our society. ODAAT talks about feminism, xenophobia, racism, sexuality and a lot more in ways that make you think and also laugh. definitely it's worthy of watching.

This was a wonderfully delightful show. The emotional moments were tearjerkers. I wish there were more perfect moments. But it's stil somewhat perfect.

Rita Moreno I love her! I love the references to the original show. Was a fan of that one too back in the day! Thanks Norman Lear for another one.

I watched the first season of this comedy and anxiously awaited the new episodes. They somehow managed to go so heavy on the drama dwelling on serious topics until it doesn't even seem like a comedy anymore. It was actually bringing me down instead of making me laugh. I watch sitcoms as a pick-me-up. You failed.

I found this show by accident and really liked it. I’m not that into sitcoms the last couple of years, but this was more than OK. They did a really good job including ‘woke culture’ without it being as annoying as it usually is. Probably by mixing it with normal everyday issues and being extremely down to earth. Too bad it ended so soon (and with a bad animated episode). This deserved 2/3 seasons more and a good ending if you ask me.

Comedy on complete default setting. Textbook, and by the book. Characters are stereotypical and not that funny.
Funniest thing about this show is that the Elena the daughter, and Schneider the landlord wear the same glasses....
