The drama had a good and gripping start with the trial and everything surrounding it but it was the only trial in the drama. The rest turned out to be something different. I wish we had more like that trial. Although the silliness and slacking around was fun at first but it got a little tiring later on and padding the drama with 3 full episodes of flashbacks with a serious tone wasn't enough. Despite its shorter runtime there were big inconsistencies rooming around, it's like they had 3 dramas with 3 different ideas shoved into one. However, the drama always felt like there was something missing to formula. I really liked the concept, it had much more to offer than we were shown. The characters and their dynamic had a lot of potential to be expanded upon. The cast also brought up a good performance to the screen. I found the murder case to be the weakest part of the drama and somewhat boring, it also took too much time before moving on to something else. Right just when we started to get real development the drama ended, that was really unfortunate. I don't think this will get season 2 based on what they've done with these 12 episodes.

A collage of all the characters NKM has done as protagonist and then make of parody of it that would be One Dollar Lawyer ; it was a fun riot as long as it lasted .

Although disappointed that a 16-episode show cut short to 14 and then to 12 with last 4 airing an episode per week but that just made the show more lasting even a bit rushed with the ending . The writing is the only thing that fell flat half-way through its as if the original writers of the show quit and they had to cut some screen time and add few random ideas around

One more thing was the love-line if it did exist b/w Baek Mari and Ji-Hun it was killed in the wonderful love story in the flashback with [spoiler]Lee Joo-young [/spoiler]the original One Dollar Lawyer a.k.a co-founder . I wouldn't complain as his chemistry with both them (in Veil / Awaken ) was so good that people wished for a love line in this show ; but when Ji-hun said [spoiler] I died the day Joo-young was killed ; it stuck me that it was a false hope with Baek Mari [/spoiler]

This is a show that has serious story your looking forward to the comedy more than the conclusion and you would wish it lasts forever !! the chemistry with the trio was so great and most of the support actors or cameos have worked with NKM in his previous dramas you will see everything feels so well done in terms of acting .

But still i would rate this higher as an NKM fan and its good to see him buddy up with all the cast unlike his last 2 serious projects ; so refreshing !! This is probably a wedding gift for him and wish him a happy married life
