Panchayat is a comedy-drama, which captures the journey of an engineering graduate Abhishek, who for lack of a better job option joins as secretary of a panchayat office in a remote village of Uttar Pradesh. Stuck between crazy villagers and a difficult village lifestyle Abhishek starts his job with the sole motivation of getting out of there as soon as possible, for which he even prepares for CAT.

This show shows how really the Indian rural looks and feels like. Authenticity of this show is on a different level. The show starts slowly but quickly grows on you. Absolutely loved every second of it. Season 2 is even better than season 1, and the hype is NOT overrated. I have seen most of the English shows and anime released in 2022. But this one is the best till now.

Panchayat is a beautiful gem of a series that proves once again that great storytelling doesn't need a big budget or a flashy production. It is a series of small but poignant stories with warmth, humor, and a deep understanding of the human experience. The writing is fantastic, with a perfect blend of humor and heart, and the acting is uniformly excellent.

one of the best shows i have watched in a long time.. so real, raw, emotional, funny, and everything in between.. full 10 rating and totally recommend (+1 rating for the exceptional performances from vikas, pradhan ji and prahlad - these three deserve all the awards for this)..
