It had a good concept and it started off actually decent but it derailed unbelievably hard and quick after episode 2. As If there was a switch flipped. It almost seemed as if the writer lost interest and handed over the wheel to an intern. The drama got seriously dumbed down to the nth degree and the cheese meter got turned to 11. The performance of the younger cast was weak, and the older cast seemed to take the easy way out, delivering lackluster performances for their relatively insignificant and undemanding roles. Cha Tae Hyun is usually good but somehow he's unable to show an expression other than him pouting all the time. The plot surrounding the villain was poorly developed and ended up being lame, as expected. The whole romance in the drama was nothing but childish. The portrayal of the police life was dull and uninteresting. The drama is a strong contender for the worst love triangle out there as well. The last episode was solely dedicated to pair everyone with someone forcefully because reasons?!

Police University almost like Law School another university drama which is definitely different than other academic educational institutions along with an accompanying plot of cybercrime thriller that the main cast tries to solve.

Police University should have come 5-6 years back to be accepted as something as good. With a basic decent plot, this production messed up with every different aspect of a show, creating several flaws that can't be ignored.

It tried to be a rom-com-crime-thriller but does nothing well. There are three pointless love triangles ; each with a strong female lead character that is sidelined to just help the dumb male leads duke it out . The crime thriller part was agonizingly slow to concluded as if running since the universe has born with endless and senseless plot twists.

I can't say that the plot development is very bad but it's definitely below average and awfully dull. It was dragged at many points that it becomes boring and so many illogical as well as useless elements. There are plenty of instances of inconsistent writing and the there is a null character development for the even the main characters. The screenplay writing skills are of poor quality, no doubt the writer is a rookie. The story, plot or screenplay, none of them felt like that of a university life in 80% of the drama. I mean police university is different from the usual but this was very far from that.

I had good expectations with the cast and wondered why it wasn't popular during real-time as I was watching law-school instead of this and I'm glad it ain't that popular in real time. I waited for good Police academy life story and it became a very bad commercial about police university with everything rosy and lovely so sweet to be believable. For someone who dropped LIVE I had no excuse to watch this but i continued to ; you can skip 11-14 and watch 15 & 16 if you can't bear the torture.
