I just binged the first season in 2 days. What can I say, it's ok and I'll keep watching but it has some pretty big flaws in some departments.

There are some pretty big errors in the script and logic holes (phone number written on paper in 2022; drugs don't work like Dhalia, whoever thought the details in that storyline didn't snort a line in his life;[spoiler] everyone related to everyone like in soap operas; these Serbs are a joke when you think about how the Serbs were in the first Power.[/spoiler]

The acting is very hit and miss too. Joseph Sikora never seemed like a good actor to me, but he has a certain cool factor in the way he plays Tommy, so he was not the problem.
But JP and D-Mac, holy fucking shit I have no idea where did they find these people.. Vic Flynn will not win any acting award in his life either.
Tommy Flanagan and Lili Simmons are the only ones who really show that they are talented actors and love what they do. Show would've been dreadful without them.

I will keep watching but I really hope that it will become better in future seasons, closer to the quality of Power.

I started watching this to see if it was worth the watch and it was kind of interesting for a while but I’m sick of hearing n****r every other word. Episode 7 it was so over the top I decided to count, and they used that word 72 times in one episode, that is excessive. That and it’s all just so fake street, they try hard to find excuses to create stupid “street” phrases so everyone sounds “genuine”.

We are told repeatedly, daily even, that the word n****r is the most racist demeaning word possible and that saying it makes you a subhuman reprehensible twat, yet this show throws it around like candy and it’s all OK because “well, black folks can say it”.
The first Power was OK for the first two seasons before it became repetitive and predictable, I ended up hating every character in the show, and this has me feeling the same way - nobody is likable.

On top of the never ending use of “that” word, the acting is TERRIBLE and there’s not a drug in the world that works so instantly with such a huge impact. Ridiculous.

Besides, drugs aren’t enough a huge problem in this country that we need to have TWO shows about making heroes out of drug dealers?
